Setting the Standard for Design Excellence The award-winning Design Team is widely recognized as one of the most skilled and awarded in the float building industry. With decades of floral design and floral technology experience behind Jim Hynd and the engineering and construction experience of Tim Estes, the company is able to translate each beautiful design into masterful floral presentations.
Widely recognized as a leader in engineering throughout the industry, Fiesta Parade Floats consistently sets a new bar for what is possible with Rose Parade float technology. Fiesta’s computerized hydraulic animation, water irrigation, and special effects surpass the standard for engineering in the Rose Parade and throughout the float and prop-building industry. Fiesta Parade Floats consistently delivers safe and dependable float construction, masterfully bringing designs to life in a way that will best support the engineering and floral technology. From concept to structure, the construction process is guided by a team with decades of float building experience.
Lead by 45-year floral veteran Jim Hynd, Fiesta Parade Float’s floral presentation is considered the best in the industry. Jim Hynd’s floral work has appeared on more prize-winning floats than any other designer in the history of the Rose Parade. Fiesta is known, in particular, for the attention to detail on floral presentation, as well as the arrangement of exotic organic materials used to bring the design concept to life.
Thousands of volunteers assist in decorating Fiesta Parade Float’s Rose Parade floats each year. Seasoned and skilled full-time float supervisors manage the decorators and ensure the floral application is up to Fiesta’s very high standards. Clients have the flexibility to provide their own decorators or tap into Fiesta’s network of long-time seasoned decorators, leveraging partnerships with organizations such as the Girl Scouts of America. Fiesta Parade Floats boasts the largest year-round staff in the industry. Each float is assigned one or two seasoned, full-time, float supervisors and a veteran float-decorating crew. Float supervisors manage the final preparation of each float during Decorating Week and up until the final hours when the floats enter the parade route.
The Most Award-Winning Float Builder in the Rose Parade
Once thoroughly decorated and inspected, the Fiesta Parade Floats crew embarks on the “parade before the parade” when they drive the floats to the parade staging area in Pasadena, where the floats are lined up to present for the public and media. Fiesta provides all of the necessary crew and float supervisors to ensure a safe journey. Fiesta also supports the famous “Post Parade”, when the floats are staged for public viewing and additional coverage. This is a distinct opportunity for clients to engage one and one with parade-goers and interact around the client’s message.
